Fitted some padding just behind the rear doors. My concern was where the kids would smack their heads in a side impact or even a decent lurch of the vehicle while Offroad.
I had them made at Clark Rubber in a similar material to the roll bar padding. They cost me $120 for the pair. They have a zip off cover and are secured to the hard top with Velcro. A small cost for piece of
mind.

Fitted the softtop today, have yet to hose down the Jeep to see if it leaks.
Have removed the old foam from the drivers side door surround and replaced it with multiple bits of clarks rubber weather seal. Hope it does the job.

Dont know what I was thinking taking the top of myself (no hoist), must of looked like a hermit crab, squatting and doing a side shuffle on the driveway

[QUOTE=Wallyd;1222261]Bump stops and spring retainers installed (Home made)

Nice I take that with extended bump stops the spring will not compress and hit the retainer from the top as this could cause a problem. Nice work.

Don't know what u are trying to say, but, the spring retainer is to stop the spring from falling out at full droop as the spring unseats from the top by about 15mm

I think what he means is as the spring compresses will the coil above squash down and hit the retainer from above?

Love the idea of the bump stop extension. Will be doing the same shortly, though might splurge and buy a bigger hole saw - 50mm is the largest I have on hand, might spring for 100mm one. Will prob either recess the bolt or may just glue them in place so I dont have to remove the springs yet again!!
