Yep, I hear you but in our case we only tow a relatively light off-road camper so the JK still has plenty of capacity for our big Engel and cartons of beer and wine

Let me add to this, while we have a Michelle's Sak water bra which has enabled us to forde reasonably-deep water, my better half won't travel to the Cape etc until we have a snorkel. We also no longer need two cars (TJ and WH) so I'm thinking a JK would be a great all-rounder (with snorkel off course!)

I still fail to see how problems developing a WH diesel snorkel could affect the development of one for petrol WJ/G !! They have different body work & the diesel air filter is on the opposite side.

Instead of down trading to a JK why not "Move Sideways" into a XH CRD Commander for which a Snorkel is already done for? Not to mention the extra Airflow! I spoke to Michael about it and he said he's only ever seen one other vehicle respond so well to extra airflow gained by a snorkel and that was a 6.5lt Silverado Diesel or something. He said the 3.0lt Jeep CRD engine just took to it like ducks to water. They're positive that the new retrofit airbox they're working on will give it a little more too. I'm holding out for that one.

By the way Michael tested the AEV JK snokel and believed it to be restricting compared to the factory setup.

And does Michael have a new date for the WH diesel snorkel?

Has anyone heard a legitimate reason why it has taken this long - this saga is bigger than Que Vardis
