Hey WranglerTJ,
Yeah thanks again, when I get the engineers certificate for the 4" lift and things I will run the risk of going with 35" and as you say its my choice to do all the right things like drive sensibly and responsibly so not to draw attention to my Jeep.

Have you ever been pulled over cause of your tyres or lift??

There are a couple picture threads on the US forum sites

I have no idea about NSW rules, but if you can get a Eng certificate for a 4" lift, you can probably get one for 35" tyres - just guessing here. And several states are looking at new NCOP rules which allow a 50mm increase in tyre size, so you can probably get away with 34" tyres almost legally.

You may want to look at 3" and 35" tyres which seems to be the most common, although may require an axle ratio change.
other can provide more advice on this than me.

Hey JKTom,
Thanks for the info.
The thing is I have been told that an engineer will not certify anything over 33" tyre.
Is this true??
I have mates who have 35" tyres and they don't have engineers report but they are risking getting pulled over by RTA.Also if I do go with 35" tyres I might have to do the gear and dif ratio's??

So do I go with a 3"-4" lift with 33" with a engineers report or risk running 35"?
As you say JKTom it might look silly but I'll have to google some images and do some more looking..

Hey mate. I have had police change direction and drive along side me and then pull away afterwards but other than that one instance and the odd glance they have never pulled me over. Once in vic I got pulled over for no mud flaps and he even made mention of the tyres flicking rocks on other cars but ignored the fact they were 35's and let me off on a warning for no mudflaps. Suffice to say I now have them
