Runva 11XP is what I run along with a lot of my mates and fellow wheelers. I belly dragged my 3T Patrol over a mound with one no problems and pulled Charlie out of this rut sideways after he slipped in. It also fits inside the ARB bar no problems and you can pick them up cheap through a couple of FB pages. Pretty sure Anarchy 4wd (the 4wd 4x4 rescue page) has them on special at the moment.

I use the Smitty Built 10,000 winches in my cars.
they are basically a Warn.
they are supplied into all ARB dealers by Warn.
they have the same IP water rating as the top of the range Warn ( IP 6)
The internal parts are apparently supplied by Warn (according to our Warn Rep)
They are about $1000 cheaper than the Warn of its equivalent.
We have fitted thousands of them & they don't come back for Warranty.

but no matter what the brand... Any winch that will pull you out of Trouble is a GREAT WINCH.

Red tops are better for winching at they have a higher CCA than Yellow/Blue tops.

A red top as the main battery and a blue/yellow deep cycle as the 2nd battery is ideal.

The GREAT thing about Optima Batteries is that they accept the charge a lot more quickly than the normal Led acid batteries & they accept a full charge where a led acid will only ever get to 3/4 charged on a good day.
that makes up for the extra $$ they cost

Perfect. So can I use the redtop for the main/winch battery Snd then use my current jeep battery as the second one.
