My transmission regime is fluid every 40000 and fluid/pan/filter every 80000. I use the Penrite fluid so it does not work out too costly.
My GC is only used for towing and trip work and the only time the fluid goes over 100deg is when I back it up hill to its home parking spot which takes about 5 minutes at the most and reaches about 105deg.

I'm going shopping at Repco tomorrow for supplies 20% off flashing the RACQ card, drops the price down nicely...... wish the TC was the same juice as the box....... You must have a damn steep climb to reverse up @johnnywall mine barely gets above 93 even from a standing start on big hills, my rig isn't a light weight either........

Drover , I did miss saying that that was with 2.8 tonne of van on and having to manoeuvre around a large gum tree in the process to get the van to its parking spot!

Mine is at 80,000 and never been serviced.
Will get it done sometime in the next 12 months.
My last Jeep, a WH with the MB unit never got serviced and had 220k on the clock when I sold it.

Your a slack bugga crdv6 .....

If one is looking for a pan/ filter the part number is 68225344AA or you want one for a 8HP70Z the Z has the slightly bigger pan and has extra magnets, suit the Grands, Landies etc better it seems, the others fit okay just that after 2104 they changed them, mount is the same just the pan body slightly deeper.....

Just picked her up after a service @ 124k. I was told that the fluid wasn’t too bad, and had no crap in it, but still a good idea to get it done. I have already noticed a change in shift quality. The down shifts are no where near as bad as they were before. Let’s hope this stays the way.

When they say no crap in it, they usually mean chunky bits but the pan and oil would have had a thick layer of sludge and if the oil was put in a clear bottle instead of a nice red it would have been a dull cloudy red, mine looks good running out but once in a jar its a bit mucky.

I'm thinking my front cross member might get two 10mm holes drilled thru it so I can get easy access to the bluddy screws with the T40 bit, they are in a bastard position.
