murray, your nuts man, you could have a got a create engine from any big suplier and dropped in a 350 chev for about half that, i thought about it a while ago but didn't have the money when i done the calcs

been there done that before
i been a jeep nut longer than you are old
had two cj 'sboth modded big time diferent engine and trans swap
as statted previously i could have gat a lexus motor for bugger all
but now i am time poor
with some thing like this by keeping drivline as is will make resale easier down the track
xj is in real good nick so the fact of brand new engine will account for something
