What does the "Map Solution 800x480" mean? If that's the available screen res, it is could make some of the more complex nav applications a bit clunky.

I'm also concerned about vehicle systems which interact with Uconnect. Quadralift jacking mode, auto dipping, lights, etc, blah, ad nauseam...

I've never seen one in detail as i dont own one. But are the Uconnect System setting secondary to what System Settings available through the Evic? ie, could you achieve Light/QL configurations through the Steering Evic?

The EVIC doesn't have those functions post MY13... so the head unit either has to manage them, or the vehicle subsystems need to hold the settings prior to removal of the Uconnect unit.

I've been using OziExplorer for many years and have a huge store of maps for it. It is great in the bush as you can set waypoints for track junctions, etc. If you check the web site you can see what it can do.

Hi is there actually a website for this product not just Facebook as we don’t have a Facebook account.
Does any one know someone who has fitted one of these. Wonder if it could void the warranty?

http://www.gpsmadetofit.com.au/ is the guy in perth. call him , he is more than happy to chat about it . No issues with warranty as it's plug n play . If you are that concerned pull it out when the car goes in for service at the stealership and put the factory one back in .

i'll be fitting one in a couple of weeks

Watching this with interest. Would be good to have Android without needing a tablet that I now use.
