Did some more work lastnight.. shaved a bit off my rear diff. took alot of measuring and had to check clearance on the ring gear a few times. I set the diff up on the bench with a pinion angle of 25deg and worked from there. I think it will give about 2inchs extra clearance.

took a pic of my new 9in and dana 44 next to a dana 30 pinon.

Looking great Ian,

Shaving the diff is a real smart idea, you bastard!
I was telling myself that I'd still have you covered, with the bigger diffs and 37's the clearance would have been about the same as mine, now you've just blown that away...

That mocked up pic with the wheel/tyre in the wheel well made me almost crack a woodie!

The new sliders look sweet!

Good to see progress happening so fast now, keep the pics comming.

Just a little more of a update..

better pic of how much is cut out of the rear wheel arch.

this is a jig that i made to help make the rear truss.

the truss tacked in place ready to be welded also made a extra guard for the ring gear.

had to make a bridge for the upper control arm mounts because the punken is offset a few inchs. I also added a mount in the center for the limiting strap.

also picked up my new winch.. its got a 6hp with breather kit. should do the job

to do list this week...
make lower control arms longer.
make new tie rod draglink and track bar for the front.

a few more pic's

drilled and reamed the top of the nuckles to take my new moog 3/4 ton TRE's also did the pitman arm.

fitted up some new rotors to the hubs

I had a win... fitted stock zook front rotors to the rear 9inch axle.. only had to ream the holes a tiny bit as the 9inch uses bigger studs...even fitted over the end of the axle without machining.. I will make a weld on bracket to fit eb falcon rear brake calapers.
