Default WK2 Off Road Tyres

Thnx Kayezy, I don't mind the Maxxis BH's and am sure they'd be fine, but I'll be interested to see what a set of Toyo MT's are worth.
I was also quite interested in the Dick Cepek M/T, but they're not available in this size, so I checked out the DC FC11's today and they look impressive, but not 100% sure they're LT sidewalls.

I've still got a month before I need to change out of the Khumo stocks, so the reseach goes on.

I have 275/65/18 BH 764's on our GC with Quadralift. It's tight but clears on all settings of the lift.

One thing, they are noisy. Noisier than my 37" MTZ's on my JK.. If you're putting them on to be a daily driver then keep the ipod loaded with good tunes.

Snip...

Mickey Thompson - not available in this size
ATZ 5 rib are, and I've done nearly 100,000kms on mine on the Commander. Not suitable for mud for last 30,000kms but fine for bitumen or sand.

Default WK2 Off Road Tyres

Thnx Bomber, i'll update the list.
Considering the tyre size 18", there's actually quite a good range of options.
Hopefully this thread will collate them all into one area as it has taken several hours of researching websites and forums.

Down to the pointy end of deciding and it's either Maxxis Bighorn MT764 or Dick Cepek FC11's.

Deal on the Maxxis. $370ea inc F&B. Pro's - good aggressive tyre off road, but also ok on road, getting a good wrap on all forums. Con's - noisy on road.

Really like the Dick Cepek FC11's. Pro's - hybryd AT/MT, so sits between being a basic AT but not as aggressive as a MT. Con's - limited dealers. In our size, it only has 2ply sidewalls. Price -$500ea inc F&B.
Trying to get a better deal on the DC's for a set of 5. Will let you know how I go.

Scarps, ring Tyrepower in Scoresby and ask for Ross. In my experience he'll do a better deal than anyone else I've ever tried.
