the tailgate is narrower than the cab, 100mm each side so going to have to flare it out the body will be fine tail gate might be a little harder.

ill get him to look into it when he get time.

he wants a big fancy welder so he can do camper tailers, 4wd chops and anything else people want done. (any kind of mods)

Make sure that the welder can be turned right down for doing thin panels. Any welder can do big stuff.
If you look around clearing sales you can probably pick up a welder out of an engineering fabricators place very cheap. You will probably need 3 phase power.

and 3 phase welders are cheaper if u can use them because so little people have 3 phase power they are hard to sell and therfore cheap

here is some more pics,
and the 10mm issue we have, but going to drill the spot welds and pull the outer skin then brace the skin from the inside. hopefully we can get the welder this week.

I see what ya mean there Mm.

I would be more inclined to pick it apart and widen the whole rear section to suit. For example, insert a 20mm fill panel in the roof section and the underlying frame.

Just be sure if you do it your way that the profile will fit the rest/front of the vehicle...

JMO...

Lovin it man... can't wait to see it stitched back together
