I have a client who is a senior manager at Daimler, in charge of the Unimog division.

mogs are not that dear of bought through the right channels
but stuff having that much steal under your car , too heavy .

Technically both are pretty yesterday since both have origins in the 60's.
If you want fancier how about some Hydrostatic drives.
I paid about 4k for my mog diffs about 5 years ago when the xrate was crappola.
Although I only got plain 404 diffs, there was a bloke on POR4x4 selling 406(?) diffs That are even stronger, with dual caliper, dual piston brakes and all the fruit not than long ago for less.
