That they are mate , if I can think if anything else ill let you know , is it possible your GDE tune you were taking about been erased by a battery disconnect & now the PCM has picked up a failed swirl motor , I'm unfamiliar with these tunes as I don't get too see any at work as all tuner chips & stuff like that are removed by customer when they come into work

Doc,

I have a 2005 WH GCL.

I had no issues with the GCL for 6 months after purchase (used). Started getting various intermittent codes, particularly so if I crossed speed bumps a little too fast or cornered hard on rough road. Drove me nuts, tried tracing all possible faults to no avail.
Had the battery checked, showed as "good". However, not knowing the age of said battery, I replaced the thing with a much larger capacity unit (850CCA) mainly because the shitty wee thing the dealer installed was the minimum rated.
also, I have never been comfortable with the dubious quality of the cheaper Chinese made lead/acid or Calcium hybrids currently available everywhere. I replace every 3 years regardless of indicated condition.
In my case, all the code throwing problems disappeared for the $150 investment. Plus, I now have the reassurance of really knowing "well, it is definitely not the battery"......?
