Decided after consult with the signing engineer leaf spring rear, the ones off the rear of the Chero, does away with those spindly little arms and the pan hard rod facing the wrong way
Nice work. When you say Chero I guess you mean FSJ. Any reason you didn't consider XJ instead?

Hey Wooders yes the full size Jeep from 1982 .... the only reason I used the Cherokee is the front diff, stronger, and the rear diff bigger brakes

and yes the chassis cut was on the last straight bit of the frame under the door just infront of where the front suspension arms bolt on

Hop

Hop,
FSJ Diffs etc def agree. But I was just wondering about the springs. Cause I would have suggested XJ leaf springs as a better match to the weight and also are readily available for a wide range of companies should you wish to change them.
So I was wondering if there was any other reasoning (other than immediate donor availability)?

I wasn't referring to the cut, I was saying the frame number stamp is under the door.

Wooders I located it ... but it in no way matches the VIN number, Maybe the chassis has been changed?

Rear springs I thought more length the softer the ride? I want smooth, My CJ3B and CJ5 give me enough rough riding ,,,,,, hehe

Started on the front end swap all in all pretty good sailing so far
