how do you get into the back window if locked out? I'm paranoid with all this new technology and cr@p, will get my old man to cut me a copy now regardless and zippy under it to be safe as mine overlands on that auto lock feature

Unscrew the hinges. They are accessible by removing the plastic covers. You will need a flat screwdriver for them and a torx bit for the screws from memory.

Yep, Too many times me or my passenger have unknowingly bumped the central locking switch in my 07 JKU Rubi which is most annoyingly placed in both front doors where you would expect to find the window switch. Its easily bumped by a leg or arm especially as you get out of the vehicle. It hasn't happened to me yet as I am most vigilant (or paranoid) about it but I never get out of the car without the keys or without the window down.

I had a plain key cut with no buttons which I keep in my wallet. Gets me into the car so I can grab the proper one. About $5.

I've got one as well. If I'm parked on the beach and decided to go for a swim, I lock the start key inside and keep a plain key on a chain around my neck. That way it doesn't get lost or ruined by sand and water.

I got mine off ebay, but any locksmith or Mister Minute will have a suitable key to cut one from your master.
