Canberra is the home of Roundabouts they kill the the front tyres and then they normally get rotated to the back...

The left rear was wearing more than the rest, and possibly worsened due to missing a rotation at 40k.

Seems from what I read the WK is harder on tyres than the WH? Is this due to the independant rear suspension? One guy I was talking to recently in the NT was off to buy new tyres after only 25K.

Yep have looked at these and they look like a good tyre. Do they perform ok off-road?

I know this is t the for sale section... But is relevant.

I had a set of Cooper Zeons in 285/50/20 fitted to my 2012 Grand Cherokee that I took off when I sold it with the intention of fitting them to my 2014 Overland. I've never fitted them so may as well offer them up for sale. They have about 10,000ks on them.

They are in Brisbane. Anyone interested?

I'm on my second set of 697's. The first set I replaced at 65,000 kms - but only because I was setting off on a 16,000 km trip across the Savannah Way and Gibb River Road plus the Tanami Road.

I could still have got another 10,000 kms from the first set on bitumen, but I won't set off on a trip with worn tyres.

Towing - especially something heavy - will always wear the rear tyres heavily. I got mine rotated part way through the trip - there were not many options...

I'd go with them again - unless someone else has the brains to make a good tyre in LT265/60R18.

Cheers

Default Hankooks?

I just put a set of 265 60 18 Hankook Dynapro AT/M on the 05WH and a set of 265 65 17's on the 06WH. At $255 & $235 each I couldn't go past them. The local forest fellas here at Hurfords use the MT's (very aggressive tread) for all round use and get good miles and good grip in the bush, so I went with their recommendation. The AT/M has a good looking tread and isn't noisy.
How much for the Zeon's? I've got some spare 20's with no tyres.
