i am very weary of Utube how to stuff. Too many people wanting to be an expert & get their face on the internet.
Always need to ask the question ~ how much real experience & knowledge does the person have?

I would image the posts will rise again once the JL becomes the norm and not the JK.

I'm a very long time member of the Ford forums and it was the same once a particular model had a long life span. Interest would start to die off until a new model becomes mainstream.

It's just unfortunate that Jeep upped the JL prices so high as I think it will turn a lot of long time Wrangler owners off until decent second hand ones come on the market so until then I think the posts will stagnate for a while.

I am so happy to be off the Faceplace. Never again.

When I lived in the USA I was on a local Jeep Club - a state one, (smaller state so easy to get around). There were often 2 or more clubs per state, some would be the chuckleheads and mall crawlers, and some would be the tech and helpful ones, some would be a solid mix of fun and help I was very lucky to be on one that was friendly and fun and super helpful and being local meant trail cleanups and camping and drinks etc on top of wheeling and wrenching parties. There are national ones as well which we all know here, but they were mainly tech references for me.

I think the more local ones were pretty good - people met up and wheeled or tossed a wrench with friends constantly. Here I guess it is tougher for a lot of people to connect due to distances? I am not sure. I know there is a club for where I am here, but I don't think a forum should be behind a paywall. Dues, sure if you wheel with the club. But just to see if the forum is active shouldn't involve my credit card. Maybe one day.

I like AJOR and I reference it every time I try to work on my Jeep it seems - a huge thank you to you helpful tech posters, btw - but it isn't a social sort of forum. Doesn't mean it's dead, but for a forum that covers every Jeep in a whole country, it may be hard to find posts that apply to you.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In years gone by, it was very social, before FB, we had a chat section on here, it was live, and at nights would have over 100 people chatting away in real time. FB and mobile phones has done away with that need, just like the old ICQ and MS Messenger.
