Oh by the way, I am curious to ask what others xxxxxx km Since Reset Oil Life is when they scroll through to it with the ignition in the Accessory position, First push of the button, as I worked mine out to be the Last service conducted by Jeep Dealership looking back through my vehicle log book. They must use a Scan Tool to perform the oil life reset function, must be some kind of Hard reset

Last Bathurst trip over 2200km averaged 8.4 litres per 100km...then I also have bar work, fat muddies and a roof rack to drag the consumption up...as well as a lead foot...
My oil percentage was at 69% at oil change a few days ago with 5139km since last change...

I have only gone by whats in the WSM, which is below;
Oil Change Indicator - RESET
Unless reset, this message continues to display each time you turn the igni ion switch to the ON/RUN position.
To turn off the message temporarily, press and release the Menu button. To reset the oil change indicator system (after performing the scheduled maintenance) perform the following procedure:
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Do not start the engine).
Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three times within 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position.
NOTE:
If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator
system did not reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.
******************************************
I think it has worked first time once but my last reset the 2nd try after I went to OFF I opened the door, it was hot inside, the power shuts off and then I noticed it had reset, so Im thinking that just going to the OFF on the Ign switch doesn't complete the reset as their is still power for windows, radio to operate and opening the door shuts all that down, hence completing the reset.... will prove or disprove it in about 9K km time....
My since Reset is always matched to my last oil change as I reset it each time... and at the 10K km is rarely more than 50% with a data read out showing I should be good for another 8-10K km of oil life...........
Whether that is any help @OLMATE I'm buggered if I know......

My oil life % with the ignition at the accessory position shows - - - % (no percentage number, red mark indicated above the word change) with 65535km since reset. When I have the ignition at the run position the oil life % reverts to its correct % for the km travelled.
On average I see a 1% drop in oil life every 200km (towing or not towing). When the DPF regen system was continually regenerating I was seeing a 1-2% reduction in oil life every 30-40km
Cheers

Cheers mate, didn't have a choice, either that or get someone or take it to a dealer and get them to reset it and perform a scan for codes, can see it now, we need the Jeep for a day and that will be $650 , thanks for coming, by the way we checked your tyres and added windscreen additive, Technician has just taken it for test drive in other words, Apprentice has gone to pick up the lunches
I have got a OB11 compliant scanner, that showed no DTC stored or thrown

LOL....your faith in Dealerships is well placed !....If we had have been lucky(read: rich....we wanted a small acreage) enough 30 yrs ago we would have been living in your beautiful part of World...when I thought of your problems, the idea of a trip to Coffs to visit Jeeps'r'Us went through my mind...with the MAJOR UPGRADES to that Highway, a trip nowadays is a simple matter of setting the cruise and choosing a radio station or cd (not tech savvy at all so spotify is a swear word in my car), sitting back n soaking in the luxury these rigs provide....some shopping for the bride and fresh fish n chips at the harbour...lifes gooood !....he (Coffs Wizard)would even have had the solution....nice drive !
