Camber, toe and toe-out on turns are tire-wear angles.

Incorrect Toe will cause the inner or outer edge wear and is usually the biggest culprit. Incorrect Toe will usually be first noticed with the steering wheel no longer centered and pulling in a particular direction if caused by an impact say hitting a gutter, large pothole etc. bending a steering component slightly, doesn't take much.

Camber can also cause a pulling effect and cause excessive edge wear.
If Camber is unequal the vehicle will tend to pull towards the side with the greatest positive camber

Caster usually isn't directly related to Tyre wear in general, however if Caster isn't close to equal the vehicle will pull in the direction of the front wheel with the least amount of positive Caster.
The Indirect Tyre wear caused by Caster is due to a shimmy contributing to a cupped wear pattern on the front tyres.

Is the vehicle actually pulling to the left or is the steering wheel just off center?

As you lift a JK the panhard pulls the axle across which also moves the drag link causing the steering wheel to be off center. this hasn't actually effected the Toe but only the steering center.

There are 2 steering components involed, the Tie Rod which is attached to both front steering knuckles, this alters the Toe in and out.
Then there is the drag link which is connected to the Left hand front wheel to the steering box Pitman arm, it is this link which needs to be adjusted to correct the steering wheel position.

This will cost very little to have corrected if you cant do it yourself, If once your steering wheel is corrected and it still pulls left there is a Toe adjustment issue.

Also, ESP may be effected depending on the amount the steering wheel is out, there is a center point for the steering angle sensor, however ATE ESP systems usually have a 10 to 15 degree tolerance so as that they are not overly sensitive, some people have had issues with ESP with steering wheel off center and warning lights coming on.

Best get an allignment, these are cheap compared to replacing two front tyres which maybe wearing.

The steering is centred and it still pulls to the left

Eplorer,

Since no one else has replied...
I still dont think your alignment is correct, the figures dont add up. If the vehicle is still pulling severely in one direction and you state you have a difference in castor from left to right of one degree....your alignment is a dud and most likely there are other issues.
You cannot have that difference in castor unless you had a twisted axle before the alignment.
Do you have all the specs from the alignment?

Matt?

My JK is around 10mm longer on the drivers side (centre of rim to centre of rim) than it is on the passenger side!

Top car really.

Dont get what you mean there Yom and what it has to do with Eplorers alignment issues.

Before the lift he had 1/4 deg difference from left to right and after the lift has 1 deg! Simply not possible!

Matt.
