As I am only running a 2" lift it wasn't technically necessary but I like the idea of getting rid of the slip yoke due to the fact that it wears so now it is bolted on.
I was told by Iron Rock that I would need to cut the output shaft so there was only 1" of spline left but I thought I would test it, the output shaft had already been cut back a little so I put just the main leafs in out of my original leaf packs and jacked the diff up till it hit the bumpstops and checked the length of the new yoke with a standard front shaft and what I found was the output shaft could have been about 5mm longer with no dramas so I just ground it square , drilled it, tapped it (slightly off centre ) but it works fine, at full droop there is still plenty of slip joint length left so all is good.
So now I can go for more lift, do you reckon the missus will notice????

I got the quote for one from them before but havn't got around to getting it. have the front d/shaft, but still have the D35 which makes the front d/s about 25mm too short.

I am still running a d35 and I have a cut down output shaft and mine is pretty close to spot on for length, how much lift are you running?
