jesus! ten grand for two doors and a few extra inches? well, what guy wouldn't want a few extra inches, but they'd really want to be nice doors....................

It seems natural to me that the Unlimited would be competing against Pajero / Prado / Pathfinder / Terracan for sales. Problem is the Unlimited is only a five seater.

I appreciate thast the Unlimited would most likely walk all over the Japanese 4x4s offroad, but I suspect that that market segment would want the JK to have similar creature comforts to what the others offer.

Assuming the Unlimited (4 door model) will be available in three spec levels (ie: Sport, Limited, Rubicon), my pricing guesses are:

$38,990 Sport, petrol, soft top
$40,990 Sport, turbo diesel, hard top, automatic

$42,990 Limited, petrol, soft top
$44,990 Limited, turbo diesel, hard top, automatic

$45,990 Rubicon, petrol, soft top
$47,990 Rubicon, turbo diesel, hard top, automatic

Petrol engines will be available in manual and automatic (no cost difference), and turbo diesel will be automatic only.

(I found all this info inside my crystal ball)
