Yeah got it from DBOR, the approach angles and wheel access are insane... Awesome bar, very happy so far.

In the last week, since a Toolangi trip I've developed a crack in the exhaust pipe that's gotten progressively worse at idle to the point where this afternoon I went to repco and got exhaust putty and exhaust tape.

To get the back half of the pipe out was a bastard without a hoist.
Had to take off the transfer case cross member, the rear right shock, rear drive shaft and the pipe isolator brackets.

Wire brush scrubbed the pipe down around the big bastard crack (about 15cm long), puttied it up with good thick coverage, heated that for a half hour with the lamps, tape wrapped over it, let that heat for a half hour then reassembled it all after that.
Serviced the tail shaft and cv joints while they were out and did a general clean up while I had good access.

Turned it on, still had a foul crackle noise, let it idle for 10 minutes then took it for a drive up to the shops... Smoking away when I pulled over, nearly pulled out the fire extinguisher but turns out to just be the glue bonding. Not a nice feeling seeing smoke pissing out from under your jeep....

Hopefully it'll settle down now the tape has had a chance to bond and the putty should harden up and set. Time will tell.
