Well, my front sway disconnects and brake line extentions arrived on monday. And my BlackJack extreme sliders are being delivered this afternoon.

Looks like my weekend is planned out...

Well, I got tired of waiting for the sliders, so test fitted the crossmember, perfect. now to paint it or get it powdercoated... Installed the front brake line extenders & PPm sway disconnects, (already have their adjustable links).

Sliders arrived at 7pm! The hardest part was taking off the OEM left sidestep, (the ridght was mostly removed by a track & I undid the 1 bit left on some weeks ago...) 10 minutes per side to install. Great!

Going to the bolt shop this morning to get some new bolts. The ones holding the cross member on are 'somewhat worse for wear'. That is, the holes through the c/m were filled with the same red mud that was covering much of the rest of the engine in a thin layer that I still cannot totally remove from the PO. The ones on the left in particular, have lost some of the threads & shaft to rust...

Some pics for your viewing horror...

All 4 bolts, I've started cleaning the top 2.

Closer view of the 2 from the left side of the car.

Why I'm replacing the cross member.

The difference between the OEM (right) and Poison Spider via DBOR (left).

Oh yes, and the new slider/steps.

edit: Picked up new bolts and dropped the new crossmember off to be zinc & powder coated. Should be ready Thursday. Also picked up extra air hose to run from the compressor under the bonnet, down to the front bar so I don't have to open it every time I want to use it.
