Default WG CRD Safari

The Safari web site has not been updated as the snorkel is still in the final stages before release but it is for the 2.7 Merc and it is mounted on the left so must have ducting across the engine bay.

Default WH snorkel

Following up on Johnv's previous post I've just been up to Michaels to see how everything fitted, there was some slight sanding on the snorkel blank to fit flush on the guard and the air cleaner box looks like it fits OK.
Next step is as John says, the air cleaner box goes to Sydney for an element to be made,to fit inside lip of box, snorkel mould made and hopefully called back in 3 weeks for the big day.
Cheers,Dick

When this thread first started a long long time ago, I was in the process of bending some stainless-steel exhaust pipe with my local exhaust bloke here in Townsville. That got put on hold then and the wait has revealed the the stainless-steel was not quite so stainless anymore now. Hope the wait has been worthwhile.
