Installed Rampage Products; Heavy Duty Tailgate Gas Strut Stabilizer with Dampener. Has worked well so far. Opens the tailgate on the flat and to about a 5 deg slope. Tried on about 15deg hill and needed to help the gate for about half the way, then the gas strut finished the job. Best of all the strut holds the rear gate open and has a locking mechanism if the hill is very steep.
