Talking Here you go, the pics you've all been waiting for!

The quality of the pics won't win an award, but I have to say in the flesh the Grand looked f@rking awesome.

It has been tested with a winch on severe angles, it was air flow tested to reduce wind noise from the bar and in doing so was also measured up for a snorkel.

This is the pre-production model and is probably 99.9% the way the production bar will be.

I have no idea on the cost or release date, but the owner, who replied to the ad for the request from ARB for a loan car for a week whilst driving it for 400 km, recieved a nice boot load of goodies for doing so, said it should be fairly soon.

A suitable alternative surely. Be nice to see it in a Sahara bar version.

I honestly think that this is an absolutely necessity, and that they wouldve realised this, seeing as the market for a shorter chassis bar is much greater.
Yes ARB will most likely have a different mounting system for the euro/Aus spec grands but I think you are a bit off the mark thinking that we, Australia are the target market.
In the US last year Jeep sold 154,734 Grand Cherokee's, that's 69.3% of total sales world wide compared to Australia's 8373 units, just 3.8%
http://fiatgroupworld.com/2013/03/23...year-analysis/

In Aus 10% of all vehicles have bull bars, that's 837 GC bars

In the US if a conservative 1% of GC's have bars that's 1540 bars.

As you can see the US market is huge and ARB will target that market, after all they are a publicly listed company and they have shareholders to account to.

I agree fester a Sahara bar version would be

Default WK2 Bullbar - When ARB?

Interesting, when you look at the start of this thread, it's exactly 1yo to the month. Happy anniversary.
If everyone's happy with the choice today compared to 12 months ago, then together it's a great result.

Bloody hell Clarky, that's a fair set of stat's. Cant argue with you there.

I agree with you and Fester re: the Sahara type bar. Gets away from the 'Prado' look.
This is why I cut the outside hoops off my ARB bar......to be different.

Looking forward to seeing ARB's bar on the WK2.

Cheers, Craig
