I'm sure that will buff out Kam and you can always stippy tape the mirror back on!

Haha its funny, my mirror is taped on at the moment, looks funny

Ordered one from US. Electric mirror is around 300 bucks here and 50 bucks in US, crazy

Haha yeah. Damage was not too bad considering what happened. Were happy to not roll it, it was very close

Ouch! What happened, man? Were you giving it some / doing a decent speed?

And is that the door hinge on the left side pushed open with the door closed?

How'd the AEV front bar hold up? Would love to know as mine is pretty new / hasn't had a knock yet.

Hope everyone is okay!
We hit a tree in the front pretty hard. AEV Bullbar held up very well (more details in the video soon). The Mirror is off. Few scatches on the door and a dent in the flare. Nothing big.

It was quite unexpected, the road looked easy and fine, just lil muddy. Were going down, gaining speed, I guess a bit too much, but I was not pushing it. Suddenly I noticed that it started to drag me to the right, I lost grip and started to slide. We were slowing down but coming closer to the edge, there was suddenly a huge hole. We headed exactly towards it.

As soon we started to fall into the hole, I turned hard right into the hole and accelerated, which saved us from rolling, pretty sure.

You will see in the videos how deep and steep it was, my friends were all confused how we managed to not roll there.

Its still a sickening feeling, no matter how hardcore of a Jeeper you think you are.

Glad damage not too bad and everyone ok!

Let the repairs begin. This is my own custom work, I think it looks almost like new

@Das_Colonel

It is. I am not a hardcore Jeeper, far from it. Always careful and walk all hard tracks before I drive it. This situation came somehow out of the blue . I guess I learned something out of this. Always stay focused, no matter how easy the situation looks at the moment, especially when its muddy.

It hurts haha, I know - excuse to get a set of power mirrors?

I remember when I bought my first 4WD, a pristine 1988 Hilux Surf, and took it offroad for the first time and got some marks on it from boxthorns. Nothing serious and would clean off easily, but the scraping sound nearly made me cry.

Absolutely agree, driving conditions can change in an instant, even riskier with our shorties!

I make a point of not having music going or turn it right down. The tracks we have here in coastal WA are often very windy and on angles - so always a risk of someone coming flying around in the other direction. Nek minnit - head on.

Have been lucky so far
