My old Jeep threw the P201D code when I did a code dump before I bought it. I knew what it was but didn't worry too much about it. The only effect I think it had that the butterflies were jammed open was a sooty exhaust. It ran fine other than that.

I am wondering now whether I should keep the DPF out of the old Jeep, which I still have, in case of issues down the track...something I will think about on my journey...

Few chats with progress, old mate just called and said dpf is shagged and the pressure sensors are stuffed. One was out and other was cross threaded in there. He asked who else has mucked around with it as it looks like someone has tried to get in there and steal it. Bloody thing, no wonder I've heard the loud whistling and smelled the exhaust fumes.
All up, diagnosis, rip out dpf, new thermostat, air filter and new dpf will be 2750. Not sooo bad, but still a ball ache..

Faarrcckkk, said the Crows or was it Graham Kennedy .................

How could anyone get under the thing to steal it ??????????? Do you really think so ? scary stuff for sure..............

Make sure they are getting the one for the WK2 EXF not the WH, aftermarket prices here are way better than the genuine in the US, $3400USD so hate to think what FCA would want..... new sensors as well, add a big bash plate and padlock..............

Second hand WK2 DPF’s sell for approx $1500 +. If they are not physically damaged by external impacts or internally damaged they can usually be specialist cleaned off vehicle to remove soot/ash deposits & re-used.

They know which one to get.
Genuine was close to 4k, aftermarket is 1500 bucks. Same with the thermostat, genuine was 1500 or thereabouts and none in the country, he found an aftermarket one for under 300.
They took the dpf off, said it's clogged to shit and damaged internally. They normally opt to clean them, they have some sort of machine and are well recommended from other places.

These guys are located in Sydney & have a catalogue listing for it by the looks of it:

Part number ed0031t4 is listed here & looks a close match for the one on my 2015 model:
