We picked the cabel beach caravan park to stay purely for its name. Its a short walk to the famous beach & @ $60 for a powered site, its ok.

Great amenities and an awesome, but cold pool.

Just be prepared to share with lots of others

Doing a short walk, i did notice some nice jeeps including the best commanders ive ever seen

Quick tip, if heading to Broome call into the visitor center. Awesome friendly staff and they can book and take payment for all rides, trips, accommodation etc for you.

Basically a one stop shop

Also check out willie creek pearls @ cabel beach. Great friendly staff (barbara helped us) and pearls starting at $1 upto whatever you can afford. My daughter's got pearl earings down from $30 to $1. Wife also grab a few more expensive bargins

Cape Leveque was next. To access this area you will need permits & its a two night minimum stay. But holy moly what a place. a great place to take a step back and relax & the red rock is just spectacular.

To get there its about 200km, of which 80-100km is dirt. The road ranges from wide sections with a flat rock base to narrow areas were your driving on steep banks. All easily driveable and we managed approximately 80km/hr through here. Also there is a sign saying no caravans, not that it stopped some.

We stayed in the beach shake Mondo. It had running water & shower (no hot water) & shelter. It was on a small rock ledge right on the seim beach.

You cant fish at the swim beach, but can at the western & eastern beaches. You can also drive on the eastern beach. I flicked lures and some bait on the outgoing tide along the reef st the eastern beach. Got a stack of small reef species and a few keepers. slso gor smoked by sometime. Took half my spool in about 2 seconds. I managed to stop it but then got busted off. Oh well

The shelter/mondo was $80 per night and that included all permits etc. But dont ask for an iced coffee or iced chocolate - $8 each.

Would go back in a heart beat
