It seems like their is two basic cheap (sub $100 pair) types available for XJ

ones that look like this;

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/For-Jeep...cAAOSwsYdd3KOD

...and these type;

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pair-5x7...IAAOSw46BeGRu8

the 2nd type mention they have indicator and park lights built in...cant work out whether the 1st type do or not

I am personally inclined toward the 2nd type, although it is not urgent, as I already have relays, so throw adequate light, but I expect LED would put out a lot more

I like the look of those. LED’s look good quality, beam pattern appears good and overall construction looks ok. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy those.

there is a reason its half price...I was going to add a warning not to get caught buying a single unit...I am fairly sure thats what it is the situation...happy to be corrected if I am wrong...handy if you get one broken I spose...note others are advertised as a "pair"

btw its fkd up buying things off ebay, something I need 2 weeks late, Oz Post just say 2 week delay is normal

AaaRrrrHhhhhhhhhhhhh Cunning I didn't notice that it pays to look at the fine print! Single Units .......
Thanks for pointing that out I thought it was too good to be true .... Still a pair for under a $100 Free Postage
I just checked the power at the plug I was talking about ..
No DRL Power only headlights parkers and indicators .. no idea what the other wires do?
So the indicators could be spliced in But DRL's would have to come from another source like the ASD or Fuel Pump Relays...... or just forget about the DRL's all together ?
No desperate rush.. But more to think about?

I was just reading up on ADRs and state rules. I believe the lens is supposed to have an E stamped on it to say it’s been tested by ECE to meet European standards. My original lenses have E stamped on them. Also, DRLs are supposed to go off when your headlights come on.
I’m still sceptical of LED lights for RHD XJ’s, in regard to lenses and beam angles etc for driving on the left.
I’m not discounting them, but I haven’t seen any with adr E approval and correct lens/light aiming for our XJ’s that drive on the left side of the road. All the Chinese ones seem generic and just have a splay of forward light.

I’m not a nanny, but don’t want to blind oncoming cars, and especially attract the boys in blue..

Cheers,

These ones have the ’E’ and the ones you originally looked at look like an exact copy. - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/7x6-5X7-...IAAOSw5fBd1kZe

With my DRL function I simply wired into the existing parking lights wiring. Still have parking lights and they go off when the headlights come on. I’m talking TJ of course, I’m not a YJ expert.
