...got most of it done. Front is sorted, rear I still have to trim the fender liners and re-attach. This is no lift with DBOR flat fenders... 34.6" tyres on 17x9" rims:

...obviously a bit of work to do still, some trimming, pinch seam and rubi rocker trim, yada yada yada... but good enough for today. First impressions - drives really well. Tyres are obviously a bit noiser, but its not obnoxious by any means. No major vibes at any speed (so far), acceleration etc is still bloody great (loving the pentastar now that it has a few k's on it... still haven't hit 1000k's yet!).

I love the wheels... flat black alloys just look great on the cherry red. Flat fenders are very cool, finish trim is a bit messy, but with some pateince and finesse they fit well and look great. The anti-sag work seems to be doing the job... will be a test tomorrow, 39 deg forecast.

Not much expected tomorrow... a wash in the morning and install antlers and red nose, ready to head to the outlaws for the family Chrissy party.

Looks great. Had to do similar with my Xenon flat fenders, they all seem to do it and doesn't sag anymore even on the hot days

Great idea to stop the sag on the flat fenders.

Subscribed with interest, I still don't believe that you'll be able to stop at a sensible build but have my fingers crossed as there may be hope for us yet Building Jeeps is a strange addiction.... haha

I got the 4.10's and auto (pentastar)... drives great with the 35's. On the hwy at 100 kph it sits on around 2200rpm (ish...) in top gear.

With the new auto, in top gear cruising on the hwy, 4.10's are slightly better than 4.88's on the old auto (with the 3.8L). Offroad I have the 4:1 tcase, so plenty low enough.

Another way to look at it... in 1st gear, the new auto (>2012) compared to the old auto (<2011) has a ratio of 3.59 vs 2.84. So in 1st gear, with 4.10 diff gears in a 2012/13 auto... the equivalent in a <2011 would be 5.18's!! Now if I compare in low range, my '13 Rubi auto with 4:1 tcase and 4.10 diff gears... to get the same 1st gear crawl ratio in a <2011 Sport you would need 7.78 diff gears!!

The tyres measured out to 34.6" (mounted and aired up, no loaded).
