$70ish for the pair of struts isn't too bad!

My KK has a transmission that overheats. The problem this has caused is that the transmission fluid gets on the 02 sensors and fries them. My car has been at the mechanics every month this year having the sensors replaced and cleaned. This is the worst car I have ever owned.

Suck that's happening to you Valhalla! When your transmission overheats are you always in 4Hi Auto? Does this still occur when you're either limiting the gears with ESC disabled or stay in 4Low?

My mate runs an Isuzu D-Maxx as his work car and has the exact same problem with his auto transmission overheating when he's taken it off-road. It seems to be a common issue with modern auto 4WDs.

Ah mate, put a tranny cooler on... It'll solve all your problems, forever!
it's a common issue in auto 4x4's in general, either put it on yourself or ask for it done, then you'll come back to the forum telling me how much you love your jeep

I have had the car long enough to find it also happens on a sealed rd. It has happened going up Cunninghams Gap, going to the lookout in Canberra, going up to Queen Mary falls (not the dirt track). It happens in 4wd high, 4wd low. The problem seems to be when the car is going uphill for an extended time. I expect the transmission fluid runs back and the front of the transmission runs lean (only a guess). The car has become a School run vehicle. I won't drive it. The wife drives it now. The Engine light has been on most of this year, The dealership cannot fix it and neither could Hammonds. Even though it was under warranty I tried to get it fixed by paying someone but no luck. The ECU has been replaced as well as the 02 sensors over and over again (lots more over agains). The old ZG jeep I have is a better car. If it is not fixed this time I might park out the front of the dealership with a sign saying it cannot be fixed. Did I say I hate this car.

Man I feel for you. You have had the worst run. I've done Quite a few Ks on sand and the KK has been a dream for me. Go the tranny cooler, what have you got to lose!

Well after 25,000 Kms I have a "rattle" underneath the Jeep that sounds like a 1984 Commodore, told Jeep Albion about it during the service and they did nothing about it. I've had to replace 3 Crome strips on the doors, the interior creeks like a 75 yr old man.... But other than that, the fuel econ is crap, the off road is awesome, the modification ability is limited (comparing to the JK). But as they say "It's a Jeep thing"
