would it pay to put lock tight onto the threads?

this might stop them vibrating out again......just a thought.

Re sticking with the correct 3/8" dia size,thought came to me that pehaps the small bolt size is to do with frontal crash situations,where,the bolts/studs are meant to shear to allow the motor / tranny unit to take a dive under the cabin for safety reasons..After all,Jeeps are,I understand,some of the safest rigs when subjected to severe frontal impact (crash).Maybe the heads should be drilled and wired together to prevent them coming loose,like in the avaition industry.

Yeah GOJEEP put lock tight on mine when he drilled out my "BROKEN BLODDY FRI*&%$*&#GEN BOLTS" "sorry had a little moment there" Lock Tight good idea, they have not budged!!!
