TYRE SIZE UP TO 2” BIGGER NOW ALLOWED IN QUEENSLAND
VSB14, also known as the NATIONAL CODE OF PRACTICE for light vehicle construction and modification, has been endorsed by state and territory vehicle registration authorities which now includes Department of Main Roads and Transport Queensland.
From November 1st 2012, the use of the National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (the NCOP) will commence in Queensland.
Please Note: Not all parts of the NCOP have been accepted for use in Queensland, with variations applied for certain sections under the Queensland Code of Practice.

Raising of Four Wheel Drive Vehicles:
Vehicle lifts that do not exceed 75mm, and are achieved by modification of the suspension and fitting of alternative tyres and rims only (do not include a body lift) do not require certification under the LS9 code. For vehicles fitted with ESC please refer to section 1.2 of Code LS9.
The overall tyre diameter can be increased to allow an increase in vehicle height of no more than 25mm (50mm overall tyre diameter) on four wheel drive vehicles (typically MC ADR category)
AWD vehicles that may be certified MC ADR category, (commonly known as Soft Roaders) are not included in this.
