Bought one of those for the ex-wife in sky blue same 1966 VBB fully restored classic & a 76 Super150 great fun for her. But or me it was down right dangerous. ( for those who's never meet me, I'm 6' 5" tall & 6'5" wide. As I said dangerous.
But they are a beautiful scooter & like the early Jeeps, a real Classic!!!

I agonised for quite a while as to whether or not to buy the Vespa. Like Barefoot, I've wanted one for years. I tried to bring one back from Indonesia when I returned to Oz after working there for a couple of years, but I left it to the last minute and it all became too hard. I've had a road bike in the past (long past to be truthful) and I reckon since it's only a 3 km trip with two sets of traffic lights and a max speed of 70 kph to work my odds of survival are reasonable.

We had two 50's, the little one did about 70km/hr but the bigger one I managed to trick up a little and got 88km/hr on the flat and 92 down a hill!

We grabbed some in thailand and assumed they were 50's and I laughed when I saw the speedo went to 120! Jumped on and went for a blat and glanced down and noticed whilst still accelerating I was already over 100km/hr... Looks like we get pretty crappy versions over here. By the way I found out later they were 100cc, very similar setup to our postie bikes but in a scooter frame.
