They parks rangers are a mixed bunch. There are a few good ones & the rest, well ...................... & thats being polite.

We have this to the north of here over the River Murray. It was a camp fire gone wrong so I'm told its about 115 Ha at the moment.

We are back
After driving around for miles trying to avoid the fires we ended up back at the Buckland Valley but camping right up the top where the main road turns to dirt so we had good access out should things turn to crap
The first night out camping the clouds were certainly unique.

The second night in we drove up to Mt Murray and saw the fires heading up to Dinner plain. Boy it looked so scarey yet amazing from where we were, yet there would be no way I would envy those guys under attack.

The old girl up on one of the lookouts

The areas effected by the fires

Camp Life
The people camped opposite us on the other side of the river had been camped there for over 3 months they told us and they even brought their second van to the site to try and sell it from there.

Rex doing it hard.

The view and one of the lookouts at Mt Buffalo

The view from the top is sensational

Us trying to be sensible

Thjs is hidden just off the main Buffalow Rd

The water doesn't look that cold

Enjoying life

The fire as seen from the main Harrietville Rd

I hoped you enjoyed the report

Car went well with no major dramas and I'm really impressed with the new coils,
it rode well not overly firm and handled the tracks without being floaty or bottoming out to easy

Thanks

Jono
