i just bought the Bushskinz vinyl wrap from Trailskinz.com came to $180au including shipping intire sides of my 2Door JK covered and they threw in free Grill wrap. All precut and matt Black finish for that lazy offroader.
I will post a pic when they arrive, but i think its a bargain. Been looking at a lot of Protection threads and this seems the cheapest and best looking. (hopefully there is no bad reason i haven't heard anyone mention them )

BTW does anyone know if Silicon is alright for plastic protection on a Jeep, I have been avoiding using it on my fenders as on some plastic it reacts to and causes white stains.

Hi Matt.
Did you buy direct from Trailskinz or another supplier?
Look forward to some pics

Turtle wax ice is very good on plastic. I think it is silicone based.

i went straight from Trailskinz.com
they had a sale going on. Just checked the website a second a go and it's about 40bucks more expensive and don't seem to have the TJ ones on show anymore . Maybe if someone wants them on there TJ they can email them because 2weeks ago when i ordered mine they also had TJ ones for sale. Could also be cause they are just settling into there new shop.
there trailskinz seem to be a little cheaper atm. Maybe they calculate prices by how much stock they have .
either way ill try and keep you all posted as i anxiously await my arrival

I got conned into purchasing Permagard Permanent protection (Exterior, interior (leather, fabric and vinyl)when I bought my jeep about a year ago for $1500...

The punch line was this product is used by Qantas and other airlines and has been tested at high speeds in mid air. Also, the product will never come off unless you buff/polish/wax the car.

The paint protection looks great on black paint.. The dealer said you don't need to do the 12-18 month inspection/treatment and only have to get this done when you see damage to the paint and report it to the dealer/Permagard within 30 days of damage appearing...

Unfortunately, this was a big price to pay for paint protection. I asked my local detailer and they said they can put Permagard on my vehicle for $250 once off and $50 per year for inspection/treatment. (they said this product is not permanent as the Jeep dealer advertises it to be, it eventually needs to be re-applied)

So After 1 year, here is what I can see;

Pros
Paint has a nice finish.
Easier to clean.
Permagard comes out to your place to inspect (if required)

Cons
Cannot wax or polish
Hand wash is required (cannot take to automated carwashes)
scratches have start to appear on the paint. (this is not covered in the contract)

So if you want paint protection, get it directly from a detailer for a better price. otherwise polish and wax is the way to go...

The MOST you should ever pay a car dealer for Permagard permanent package is $750. I'm 99% sure they will not agree so you will either have to go to a third party to get it done for half this price or stick to Polish and wax which will do the job..
