The old Land Rover 300 tdi suffered from a similar problem, cooked in seconds, with loss of coolant.
I put a Range Rover expansion tank cap on, with the level switch.
Then connected a light and buzzer in the dashboard, so if the tank lost its coolant, I knew about it instantly.
I wonder if the Jeep has a tank level switch available

That got me to thinking as well……over the years we've taken our vehicles into some pretty remote places and to experience catastrophic failure as Numb Thumbs did would have been a very unpleasant experience.
The Jeep doesn't have a level sensor - and it doesn't seem there is one available specifically to suit.
A few keystrokes bought this up -

A quick look at the Jeep expansion tank suggests there is a spot above the centre seam that would accept the alarm used in this instance.
Redarc also do a low coolant alarm kit.
Might be something to add to your list Numb Thumbs?
