So I still haven't solved this one. Soo Annoying. I'm thinking it's got to be electronic though. I noticed the other day when it happened that if I try to restart it without turning the key off first, the starter motor just cranks but the engine doesn't start. If i flick the key off quickly it starts again no problem. Can also start it by dropping the clutch provided I flick the key off and on.

Any ideas people? I was thinking maybe it's got something to do with the immobiliser system but I don't think the engine light would flick on and off if that were the issue.

Not sure if any relevance but my Ford Transit van does not start again if stalled unless ignition switch is turned all the way to off position and than turning it on again will start .

Nothing concrete at the moment. As suggested by another member in this thread, in the thread below, we went through 12 pages on this issue with no concrete answer. I have contacted Jeep about this and will wait to see what they say.
