i cracked 31 000 the other day. That's 21 000 in 6 1/2 months. Should ease up for the next 12 months as work routines have changed.

WildTurkey

I hate that damn instrument..... the odometer.

I used look at the numbers and see them as the number of dollars I'm losing on the trade-in. The more you do... the less its worth.

These days I see them differently. I have a diesel, so it should go forever. I just see the odo numbers now as a figure of the number of "fun" kilometres we've travelled.

Yeah i know what you mean. Something that was a concern to me with the amount i do but then i looked at it from a different perspective. I won't keep the car beyone 100K and if i have to cop a 5-10K loss in difference between payout and trade in then so be it. I saved 14K by buying a demo at the time (no luxo tax, onroad costs, depreciation etc).

Also if i have to cop a loss then so be it, i will piss more money up against a wall through the course of vehicle ownership and have a good time doing it. I have a good time in the Jeep so kinda the same logic applies in my (wierd) way of thinking
