front and back bars would be the best thing ... protection ... better to be safe than sorry ...

I had factory recovery points so rock rails were the first things to go on.

the only mod i made to mine for ages!
the places you can go on a set of good tyres...
best mod followed by a lift.

Firstly what's your budget and overall plan for the car. When i bought mine i new i wanted it to be big and ready to be wheeled hard, at the time i couldn't afford to do it all at once so i just did things 1 by 1 but didn't have to do anything twice.

first and best thing i did as a new jeeper was meet a few of the newey jeepers, Learnt heaps both about wheeling and fixing shit and gained plenty of inspiration.
