Hey Bleet,

Do the cams turn in the same direction? I'm asking for a mate who is copying my race cams,getting them machined but unsure of turn direction.

to understand the principal of the wheel mate IT GOES ROUND LOL
from left to right(clock wise ) on the direction when facing the engine ALL OF IT crank flex plate chains , cams so on .

Thanks blokey blokes, I will let him know. I'm surprised he doesn't know this as he rebuilt his motor and more...me, what do I know???!

way to go ric , good way to cause hot spots on the head by not having the water pump running !
and bugger me his oil pressure took its cherry time mine at cold goes just over the mark next over to the half way one (three quarter one)
and just over the half way when hot.

Yeah, looked scary hey. After all that work.

Anyway, to be fair since he's not on here to reply or rebut, his explanation was he had put a temporary hose looped over the oil inlet and outlet to keep it lubed. Coolant wasn't connected that why he ran it for a short while only.

long enough , rule of mecs : no water or pump drive 30 seconds.
heads will be heads , not like a head on a beer which doesn't last 10 seconds,
alloy is alloy , oil prime eh ? nothing like using a correct engine assemble lube , or there is more than one reason for vasso !! ........ in the oil pump that is LOL .
priming is priming ,
