Had a few questions about these tail lights. I got them from http://www.ledautolamps.com/ and ordered them through autobarn. My main reason was clearance for the carrier but they look pretty smick as well. There is a wide variety available. These combo ones cost about 80-90 each.

Did you have to drill any holes?

Yes mate. The light housing has a pair of captive bolts. They are not very long though, so i had to extend the threads to get through the corner armor. Normal tub should be fine.

I had the anti-sway bar bracket break off my front diff a while back - had the broken bit welded back on, only to have it break again.

So on a day when we should have packing up our Jeeps and getting our gear ready for the WA Jeep Safari, I dropped in to Blackjackwelding to have a new bracket welded on.

Here's Victor from Blackjackwelding going to town with the plasma, cutting off what's left of the original bracket.

Victor tidying up with the grinder.

New anti-sway bar bracket installed. Thanks Victor - I know you were busy getting ready for the Jeep Safari, but now I can make the 1200km round trip with a lot more confidence.

Spotted this crack on the exhaust

Covered it with JB weld - think I used a bit too much and it was still a bit runny when I put it on

Hopefully this holds till I get a new exhaust.
I'm heading off on the WA Jeep Safari tomorrow (1200+ km round trip with plenty of offroading) so will be interested to see how it holds up.

I DO NOT recommend JB weld for a temporary exhaust manifold repair ^^^ see previous post ^^^

I let the JB weld cure for 18+ hours before starting Jeep.
The 'repair' immediately blew, then after a short drive started smoking.
Thinking it was going to catch fire, I scraped off what I could with a screw-driver.
On the way home, the remaining bits of JB weld continued to smoke (the fumes were nauseating) - I was driving past a carwash, so blasted the rest off with a high pressure hose.
Jeep now runs and idles a bit rough and is blowing black smoke, so not a great result for a quick fix

Tomorrow: Plan B
