Finally got the dirts trying to get the Poly sway bar links to sit on the disconnect stow pins on the chassis. Have had them loose for a while with a foam washer so they could move around which made it easier, but they rattled over every bump and I hate rattles!

Pulled the pins out and filed them from the stock just under 16mm to about 14mm (stuck the thread in the drill, stuck the drill in the vice and spun them up then hit them with a coarse file for a few minutes then a finer file). Now that they slide on easily discovered they are really to far in and the top ball joint on the sway bar links doesnt like to bend that far to get the speed clips back on, so put some spacers in to elongate the pins.

Works like a charm now.

I think they are not really designed to be used at their shortest length, if they were sitting at the 3.5in or more length would prob be ok, but at the 2.5in ie shortest they can go, the angles just aren't right!

The stuff I have isn't abrasive & doesn't get past, at least not from past experience.

I have, however stuffed the front left uni joint. Quite a bit of movement ther AI found this evening after getting back from a trip out around Zig Zag today. After I got home, I turned my brown car black again, by liberal application of solvent, using the Gernie. As I was cleaning & checking the front , I suspect I found the source of what I had though was vibration caused by out of balance wheels.

Now the question becomes, has it thrashed out the yokes or can I just replace the joint, itself...

Got a Bestop Saddle Bag on today.
Impressed how small the box actually is, considering there was a really big bag in it.
Sorry for the bad Iphone photos by the way.

Fitted dual battery system yesterday. also fitted terra flex disconnect front swaybar links and fox steering damper a week ago.

I have new synergy springs, rear track bar bracket and front track bar to go on when I get some time. Also waiting on adjustable fox shock to add to the setup.

The jeep is going back to ARB for a new front bar on Thursday, had an altercation with a P plater a couple of weeks ago, long story short I hit him but he was charged with neg driving so insurance is covering the entire replacement.

Oh yeah I got katskins leather seats delivered today, now I got to work out how to fit them. Going on a faintly trip to the Gold coast and up to Fraser for 10 days next week so I'm going to have some late nights trying to get every thing done before I go.

Damn I have to get back to Fraser... I am at Noosa so I have no real excuse!!

This last weekend I wrapped some insulation around the upper passenger side O2 sensor cable and the lower drivers side one as both were rubbing on the heat shields. The passenger side one had worn through to bare wire in one spot and based on the fact it now runs fine was the cause of the poor running and intermittent dire warning about a catastrophic catalytic converter failure!!
