Well the 99 has reared it's ugly head again as we are pensioners we dont drive much great at the moment with the way fuel prices are ........... but the 99 it has starting to surge at idle I believe it is a vacuum line some where I just have to get off my ass and suss it out and fix the door lock but I have lots of excuses at the moment so I will get around to it anyway who ever heard of a perfect XJ
I got some more parts for RCXJ build number 2 see there is a excuse
The 96 took the trailer cruisin the dump today Nice n Muddy

I had to change the shocks on the new build as the 100mm were too long I replaced them with 80mm and then had to have the diffs in and out 3 times to get the pinion angle right What Fun and would you believe the shocks have to be filled with oil Far Out this is all so technical.
So after many hours I think I have the pinion angle and stance correct some temporary body posts to suss out the body position and it's on to the interior I need to build a floor first
In the mean time the green one got it's Jeep stars on the side windows
If you are not working on the big ones you are working on the little ones
Just as well there is enough time to brew Beer

Missus left the door open on the 99 last night for about 2 hours But Phew I changed all the bulbs in both to LED's about a year ago So No Panic
Now lets try and build a interior the floor height is governed by the transfer case height and the dash wants to sit on the gearbox this is going to be mini engineering fun

And a Tshirt we should all buy

I took the 96 for a run to Barcaldine today what a smooth runner for a engine with 400.000k under the belt I sat on 100 cruise control and at $2.26.9 I would say $40 to $60 for a 200k trip what's that about 12 to 14 per 100 anyway it ran great Slow progress on the new rc build

Off to Barcaldine again today in the 96 checked all the fluids this morning and only need about 800ml of coolant in the bottle not bad for a engine with 402thou and something klm on the clock smooth trip on cruise it loves 100kph sit on it all day. Now that it is getting a bit warmer I will start sorting the vac leak (surge) and door on the 99 as I wouldn't mind taking it for a run to Barcaldine next fortnight
as for the RC world I think I am up to interior build/idea number 3 It's not easy .... anyway just like real Jeeps waiting on parts
