Yeah Wolfe, I think the trophies, need to be something that is coveted, advertised before hand, to generate interest, be in short supply, and something that encourages real competition, "Classic not plastic"
Hats off to any club that has ( or will ) run a Jambo... they are a labor of love supported by dozens of people giving their time and energy for free. The amount of work and commitment required over a long period should not be understate or unacknowledged.
They are like 4WD trips.... even if they don't turn out quite as you hoped.... someone has made the effort to organize and run it - credit where credits due.
If its a commercial product then that's a little bit different, the organizers are getting paid to provide your entertainment and expect to pocket the profit.
