Put a 4" Lift into KJ69's XJ yesterday....Included coils and leaves from RED097's old rig, with extended shackles
that I had lying around. Also had to add 30mm to the front with coil spacers. Performs very well compared
with off the shelf items.
Just need new shocks and brake lines and will all be schweet!
This is my wifes XJ, or she calls it her FleXJ, Bambi, took these saturday, first time we've tried her out, should've disconnected first though got hung up on a tree 3/4's the way up.
heres us trying to get a mates 80`s series out of some real sticky mud last week, couldnt snatch him out and there were no trees to winch off so the front of the jeep was the substitute. took awhile and had to chock the wheels with the spare and big rocks to stop her from slipping towards the cruiser but after an our of sweating beer she got out. next investment- snatch block!!! good fun.
Here is a couple of pictures of the 96 model I brought in August this year. First 4wd since FJ40 about 20 years ago. It goes like a rocket, and auto too. I never thought I would have an auto 4wd, but really like the vehicle.
Put Coopers STT on the standard wheels, causeif you do nothing else to a truck, it's the one thing which makes a difference off road.
