Bahaha, this is the "Jeep thing" for sure.

The Jeep (dealer) thing started on day 1.

bought ex demo jeep. Fitted with mopar front fender with winch.

on pick up, winch control missing.

also complete soft top missing

bought winch control from importer and gave stealer the bill

picked up soft top when they found it a week later. Tried fitting soft top 6 months ago and all screws missing for frame mounting. took back off, bought quick release set from DBOR and stowed away for a sunny day.

2 weeks after picking up jeep, realise they have lost part of the right rear indicator set when fitting the towbar as part of the package (they obviously used the power/lighting connections behind the lights)

fitted rugged ridge slush mats, great for all the mud and crap on the tracks and also here in monbulk. Didnt realize until later, they were covering the fact that the roof was leaking on both sides, and running down the frame into the footwells.

It must all be a jeep thing

Luckily for me, the dealership got sold, new service & sales dept staff are bloody drilliant (so far)

Leaks fixed under warranty.
rear window sourced same day.
rear light fixed at a cost of $250! (they paid for the parts)

Yep. it must definitely be a Jeep thing

(ferntree gully jeep if anybody is interested)

None of that is the Jeep thing.

The Jeep thing (non-wrangler drivers do not know "the jeep thing" just inferior quality vehicles) is taking the top off and then getting rained on. And enjoying it.

Thats why I called it my Jeep (dealer) thing.

I'll be waiting till the temperature hits double figures before I take down the top and get rained on.

Are you sure they have fixed the leak? I have given up - after 2 years and at least 6 goes it still leaks the same as it did on day one...

They will be used purely as a second set of tyres for our easy country drives I am now famous for.

Oh yeah Wendy made me put the soft top on ( which was a pain in the ass)

We also made up a storage platform to store the hardtop with a block and tackle from the rafters in the garage
Apart from that things have been a little quiet

I need to modify my bash plate as well, do you have a closer pic of your modification?

'its a jeep thing' <---- most stuck up, annoying, nose in the air catch phrase ever created by man... but you know, like, i have a jeep, you totally wouldn't understand. *vomits in mouth*
