How damaged was the front flare as it seemed to scrape the side for a while just curious how strong they are.
Did the patrol and Hilux also drive up there to get to top or did they take a different path ?
Excellent video, shows what a jeep can do and i would not have gone faster you would not have front flare still attached.

I can sot of answer this. i have crushed my rear flare into a tree. It got some marks but left it in the sun the next day and it was shaped as good as new.

I also put some epic gouges in my front flare on a rock face. Massive scratching deep into the plastic and somehow did not smash the little marker light!

So yeh, they're pretty tough.

x2 flares are strong i have ground mine into banks and gouged them the marker light looks like someone has had a sander on it and apart from scratches are ok. I have popped virtually all the clips of on one and been able to get it back on. I must admit i wasn't expecting them to be so strong

Flares are scratched but all good - popped a few of the clips on one of the rear ones, but I carry a bag of them in my toolkit, so that was not a problem.

The Patrol drove up with huge amounts of right foot and lots of panel damage, the other vehicle is a Navara which was on it's first run out after a few minor modifications Other than fuel starvation halfway up it did pretty well, still crunched the roof against the side of the rut though!

I would agree; the plastic is allot tougher than I would have thought' I've tried on several occasions to rip off the rear bar (when I had it), the front LHS wheel arch (the side marker , I was able to just push it back out and it popped into place) all sides have some pretty good gouges, and those BL**DY side steps...

The Bank won't let me put on some decent rails till there gone but somehow they just keep bouncing ... this is driving me nuts... There now allot closer to the paint but not touching yet
