247 sensor should be

4h - 389-431 ohms - about 1.460 volts
N - 199 - 221 ohms - about 0.877 volts
4l - 57-64 ohms - about 0.294 volts

Im sure is in ecm(not tranny) and factor volts it is 4,887586 and normally (although no sure) they are around 738XX flash zone and sensor work in range 0-5volts more or less
You don't need anything special for the NP242 swap. In my opinion it's an urban legend created by a couple of guys in Portugal.

The detents are identical on all NP231/242/247, they have the same sensor resistance for each position. In my case I've ran the NP231 for quite a bit, even in snow, losing traction a lot, no errors.

So I dont need adapt nothig about sensor? Because with 247 in 4H we have about 1.460 volts but if i put 242 for example in 2H sensor voltage would be around 4.2 volts so our electronic is already calibrate and work good? or I need to mod inside part of new transfer for sensor read exactly the same in 4H and 2H ?

Thank you so much

Nothing needs to be done electronically for the swap to work.

What a great thread, just blasted trough it last night and ordered a MPPS.
My Jeep has some sort of tune erg off swirl closed and alleged 200hp, it will be interesting to tinker with it and personalize it as I like to overclock PCs for example.

Other than software, has anyone done actual hardware mods to the Jeep ? I read the 270 cdi and sprinter owners are going doing HP pump from ML 400,
turbo from 320, injectors from the AMG etc, but nothing for the Jeep. Can the stock intercooler and trans handle more power/torque ?

Other than that, the cooling mod and better L/100 will be nice mods to start. I tend to get 12-13l/100 but I drive at least 10% in low range and 30% offroad.

As for the cooling, does the ECU follow the trans temp and adjust the fan for it, or just the engine temp ?

I think the inter cooler would handle heeps more power its "only" about twice the size of a land cruiser cooler.
As for the hydraulic fan , you can wire up a switch so you can manually swich it to full noise,,,its amazing how much air it will shift at idle when you throw the switch. Its handy on really hot days crawlling up steep tracks if you are worried about overheating.
Keep us up todate if you do any power up grades.

It only follows coolant temperature. I have remapped mine to kick in a little earlier. Stock it ramps up to full speed at 106 degrees. I've changed mine to 103 degrees. I think I published the map for that in this thread.
