That's the steering wire that we need to find a place to connect. Then I got he instructions how to calibrate the inputs from my Chinese vendor.
I couldn't get into as steering control setup mode though. Not sure if I am doing something wrong there.

set steer wheel control method:
A.Find the white green cable from the unit, connect it with your original steering wheel control cable.
B.After the cables connection, pls press 8 on the remote control then press SETUP before you turn on the player.
C.Use the remote control, it will trun on automatically, and get into steering wheel control setting.
There is a KEY TYPE on the screen, pls press VOL+ the car model, if there is no model for your car, pls use USER to set up by yourself.

Well I've tried all sorts of things and I cannot get the steering wheel controls to work. Have emailed the supplier to see what they say.

Also my sat nav wont work, it wont find any satellites, It's been sitting there searching for at least 30 mins now but nothing yet.

I got this reply, fixed my sat nav and got me into the steering wheel control setup but it's still not working properly

Quote:
Hi friend,

thanks so much for your trying.
Sorry, since the igo map is 2011 version, the solution of the GPS signel problem is different than before.
The correct method is below:
Please insert the map sd card to a computer. then open the content file to find the sys text file. open that file and add
[gps]
baud=9600
port=2

About the steer wheel control problem, please try this second solution version:
Find the steering wheel control cable from the unit, connect it with your original steering wheel control cable.
Turn on the unit. Click on options icon then factory. Type 666666 and enter. Now it is at the steering wheel control setup interface.
Let?s take Vol- for example. First , press the Vol- on the factory steering wheel control. Don?t let it go. Then click on the Vol- on the touch screen. Press them continously at the same time. You will see the numbers are changing. Keep pressing until the changing stops. Then set other buttons like this. When all set is done, press SAVE SET. Then reset the unit after the OK icon comes out. Now you can use the steering wheel control.

Wait for your result.
Thanks and regards,
